This is a photo-art project that documents the geography of human trafficking in Romania and Moldova.
In the spring of 2012, Annie Ling and Patricia Chabvepi traveled to Romania and Moldova to document the places where human trafficking happens. We collaborated with survivors who told us their stories. We then mapped those stories, traveled their lengths--often with the storyteller, and photographed the places that make up a life. We wanted to give context to an often-discussed, often-misunderstood problem.
On April 25, 2013, Annie Ling's photographs will be exhibited at the All Things Project Space on Bleecker Street, Manhattan. The show will be up for three weeks. The gallery is open Thursday-Saturday, 12-7.
